What is collagen?
Collagen is a protein naturally found in all the body structure. We find collagen in skin, tendons, ligaments, cartilages, joints, muscles, bones, hair, nails, vital organs as well as all the other connective tissues. It is the most widespread protein of the organism and it comprises more than 80% of connective tissue present in all the body.
Accounting for 25 to 30% of the proteins of humans, collagen serves as the “glue” that keeps the body together. It supports tissues and insures their flexibility, their regeneration and their cohesion.
